Irving K. Barber International Scholarships Programs

Scholarships of $1,000 - $3,500 each are available from the One World International Scholarship program. The scholarships are available to students enrolled in a program of at least one year in length, leading to a credential offered by a BC public post- secondary institution.

An eligible study/work abroad program starts after May 1st and is an activity that is either a formal part of the student's credential program or is an experiential learning opportunity, typically less than 4 months in length (min 3 weeks), involving language aquisition and/or cultural training.

The scholarships are awarded and administered by B.C.'s public post-secondary institutions. Applications to this program are considered on the basis of academic merit, the students' educational objectives, institutional and/or community involvement, and readiness to go overseas.
