Trudeau Scholarships

The competition launches in October each year and the deadline to submit an application through Royal Roads University is December 1st. Royal Roads University is able to nominate 6 applications to the National competition.

A complete application consists of:

  • Completed and printed application form (using Adobe Acrobat).
  • Letter of nomination signed by a high-ranking official of the institution.
  • Three letters of reference: two (2) from academic referees, principally concerning academic achievements, AND one (1) from a non-academic referee, concerning the non-academic aspects of the application. The letters of reference must be signed and clearly indicate the name and contact information of the referee.
  • Transcripts of all post-secondary studies, including CEGEP transcript for candidates who attended CEGEP in Quebec.

Instructions for Submission to RRU

  • Print single sided
  • Do not use staples
  • All original documentation must be received by the deadline.
  • Only original ink signatures will be accepted.
  • Official transcripts must be supplied by the applicant, except for RRU’s transcript which will be automatically supplied. RRU cannot release transcripts from your admissions application to the university.
  • Supporting documentation may be submitted separately from application form and mailed directly to the Office of Research by universities and referees. 
  • Late applications cannot be accepted.
