  • Victoria, Vancouver Island, and the nearby Gulf Islands Archipelago all feature numerous points of interest for the individual traveler and for families. The cities of Vancouver and Seattle are also nearby, easily reachable by ferry, airplane, or seaplane (see Getting to Victoria).

Victoria is served by an international airport though at times cheaper rates may be obtained by flying into Vancouver International Airport and then catching a Pacific Coach Lines bus, which connects the Vancouver airport with downtown Victoria by sailing aboard BC Ferries. The Pacific Coach Lines bus terminal is situated within walking distance of the Laurel Point Inn.

Public transportation options for travel outside of Victoria are limited. However, both Greyhound and the Tofino Bus connect Victoria with many favorite  travel destinations on the rest of the island. Tofino Bus a convenient service to the world-famous destination of Tofino, on Vancouver Island's spectacular west coast.
