The goal of the project is to develop a practical, hands-on training program focused on the propagation and use of native species in restoration. This program will build the capacity of students to participate in the rapidly developing field of native plant horticulture and ecological restoration. Successful students will leave the program with a broad understanding of native plants and their habitats, greenhouse operations and business requirements, and the potential for using native plants in restoration.
