On June 1-2, 2012 the Inn at Laurel Point, in downtown Victoria, was the site of the Public Ethnography: Connecting New Genres, New Media, New Audience conference. The conference was organized by the ethnography.media.arts.culture network and funded by a SSHRC Aid to Scholarly Conferences grant. The conference was a resounding success. It attracted over 70 delegates from all over the globe and featured a remarkable keynote address by West Chester University Anthropology Professor, Paul Stoller.
